From time to time, we ask Brenda what she would like to be when she grows up. One of her common responses is that she wants to be a nurse, like her mom. Brenda’s summer camp asked her to dress up like what she wants to be when she grows up. I thought a nurse would be a good choice.
I didn’t have any of her mothers things or even Brenda’s toy doctor kit so I had to be creative. Here is what I was able to do with construction paper.

Nurse Brenda
It is so cute to hear her say stethoscope.
Brenda and I had more fun with food. This time we had number’s and letter’s to play with. I couldn’t find a number four so I made one from an “F” and a bite of something else. I used a letter “P” upsidedown to make letter “D”’s. This was really tasty to make. We used Chef Boyardee ABC’s and 123’s.
I spent a little time filling out valentine for Brenda tonight. We got Disney princess valentines that came with lollipops. Brenda will give them out at her Valentine’s Day party at school in a couple day.
I am going to print out some Valentine’s Day coloring pages for her class to do. Here are some you can use.

Brenda had some alphabet soup the other night and really enjoyed it. She helped me find the letters in her name and I put them together on her spoon. I think this is a great project for kids. You can spell all kinds of things too.
Brenda In Alphabet Soup Letters

Brenda is learning her letters and there sounds better and better. One thing she has been saying a lot lately is B is for Brenda. If she sees a letter”B” she says quite happily, “B is for Brenda”. It is so cute.
Brenda was watching Blue’s Room - Knights of the Snack Table. I asked her if she would like to be a knight. She said yes very enthusiastically. I asked her because I already had an idea of how to make her an out fit like Blue and Sprinkles had in the show. I got out some color construction paper and set out to work. I stapled and taped two shaped I cut out to make a helmet cap. Then cut out and colored and blue piece to make a visor for the helmet.
Here are some pictures of Brenda in her knight’s helmet.
If you haven’t seen Blue’s Room - Knights of the Snack Table, check it out. You can find a copy in Brenda’s Friends Amazon Store under DVDs.
Fun Project Brenda Created All By Herself
After it rain the others Brenda went outside and started play with some of the small puddles out on the patio. She took a brush and started painting with the water on the ground. It was really cute and she had a good time. Here are some pictures from that day.
Brenda Paints

And Paints Some More

You have heard of water colors. This is water lack of colors. Try is any time you don’t have to wait for it to rain. Just pour some water on the floor out side. And talk about easy clean up. The sun will do all the work for you.
If you like this idea let me know. If you try it out let Brenda’s friends know how it went.
Enjoy
Here is an idea I got from a Reading Rainbow I saw a while back. It was all about wire. The part that interested me the most was right at the beginning. It was about making crafts with pipe cleaners.
Pipe cleaners are soft and very pliable. They are made of wire that is flexible, yet very strong. This allows you to bend it and make all sorts of wonderfully great shapes. By twisting the wire tightly around itself or another to connect them. Pipe cleaners also come in all kinds of colors. You have a rainbow of colors to create with, which is a recipe for fun.
Here is a site with instruction to make pipe cleaner people.
Here is a site with some Halloween Projects and one uses pipe cleaner. A little late, but keep it in mind for next year.
Try to make your own creations too. You can’t go wrong if you listen to your inner song.
